VD (Vampire Diaries)

An editor once told me never to work in a film unwilling to buy good music. Yes, all the best sound design and scoring can only be noticed on the second viewing of a story. Except when it replaces dialogue.

The latter is true for the series VD. Compelling music swap casually with dialogue. Very unlike its juvenile (young adult, if you must) counterpart, Twilight Saga. Characters are three dimensional despite their clichéd personas.

My initial three word review:
“Buffy meets 90210.”

My updated three word review:
“Everybody loves Damon.”
